Launching Scrible and setting up project:
- Sign up for Scrible with your lanierhs.org account and install the Scrible toolbar.
- Go to Classroom to join the class section matching your color designation.
- Under Assignments, access the Project Dashboard to launch the Google Project deliverable, remove the default heading, and paste in the template for collecting your notes and sources in a modified Annotated Bibliography format. SHARE with group.
- As a class, we will look at one basic database and one basic website source to practice Scrible's research tool features.
- Use the Library icon drop down to select correct project library for each source.
- Click the quotation signs on the Scrible Toolbar to correct and complete the information about the source.
- Read and skim the source while using the Comment on a Passage tool in Scrible.
- Paste the correct citation from the Scrible Toolbar into the research table under Source Citation.
- Put at least five notes and comments into the Doc deliverable table.
Note: You must be logged into your student portal to access database resources. Browse all your database research options with the Online Research Library, available near your grades and online textbooks.
