Finding Students' Lexile Range
Log in to the go.gwinnett.k12.ga.us portal. About Students>Student Profile. For each course, search for name of a student you would categorize as high, middle, and low achievement levels. For each, scroll down and open the Student Assessment Profile link. Next to the 8th Grade score for CRCT Reading, you will see Alt Score, signifying that student's Lexile in spring of their 8th grade year.

Strategy: Content Pass + Ranking Lexile Levels
Read the four text samples and rank them from lowest to highest Lexile reading level. What is Content Pass? Students in small groups are given a set of fairly short texts (can be images, primary documents, charts, etc. rather than standard articles) to read and note a thought, key fact, or question before passing each piece on and getting a new one. Group or whole-class share out of some sort typically follows in reflection stage.
